I received a letter of demand today and was acting on behalf of a international bank. It said:

Dear Sir / Mdm,

Arrears Of Minimum Payment
Master Preferred Account: XXXXXXXXXXX

We act for XXX Bank.

TAKE NOTICE that your minimum payment sum of $50.00 is due as follows

MASTER PREFERRED A/C : Outstanding Sum ($80.00) , Min. Payment Due ($50.00)

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that unless the said sum of S$50.00 is paid to our clients directly by 6th May 2009, all the above credit facility shall be terminated and our clients shall commence legal proceedings against you for a total sum of $80.00 without further reference.

You are hereby advised to contact our client at Tel No. XXXXXXXX immediately regarding settlement of your above account.

It's my virgin lawyer letter since my 30 years of human age... and i can't believe they actually issued lawyer's letter. omg! and the solicitor actually proceed for them? Sorrie... I didnt pay becuz i couldnt find AXS that is not affiliated with DBS/POSB. :( anyway they snowballed the interest of 30 bucks. LOL
